No. Astra runs fully on your PC. The one-time Full version unlocks every local feature forever. Subscriptions only add optional cloud AI and premium voices.
The Full version is a one-time purchase — you own the app and all of its local features. Plus and Pro are monthly subscriptions that run the heavy AI and voice models in our cloud, so you don't need a powerful GPU or a VPN.
Both plans include the same things: cloud AI and cloud speech generation. The difference is the allowance — Pro gives you a considerably higher monthly usage limit.
