No. Astra runs fully on your PC. The one-time Full version unlocks every local feature forever. Subscriptions only add optional cloud AI and premium voices.

The Full version is a one-time purchase — you own the app and all of its local features. Plus and Pro are monthly subscriptions that run the heavy AI and voice models in our cloud, so you don't need a powerful GPU or a VPN.

Both plans include the same things: cloud AI and cloud speech generation. The difference is the allowance — Pro gives you a considerably higher monthly usage limit.

The price is on the Full version card at the top of this page — it comes straight from our shop, so it is the figure you will be charged. It is a pre-release price and it goes up at release.

All of it here on this page: sign in, press Buy Astra on the Full version or Subscribe on the plan you want, and pay by card on our payment provider’s own checkout page — we never see your card details. You come straight back and the purchase attaches to the account you signed in with; there is nothing to collect from a chat. A subscription can be changed or cancelled later from your profile; the Full version is a single payment and renews nothing. A card showing “Soon” instead of a price is not open yet — that button subscribes you to the announcement, not to a plan.

Yes — subscriptions are month-to-month with no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of the period.

Currently, one licence supports only 1 active device at a time. You can install Astra on multiple PCs and sign in from another device, but doing so will automatically sign out the previous device.
